RuffLand® Kennels was founded by two partners, Doug Sangl and Lyle Van Kalsbeek, who initially ran a custom plastics company called Roto Mold, LLC. After hearing a need for a more durable kennel, they decided to focus on one product. Listening to customer feedback, they created a more durable dog kennel, ultimately earning a patent for it. This innovation led to the development of the first patented dog kennel on the market, setting the foundation for what would become RuffLand® Kennels’ success. The company’s commitment to quality and innovation has helped it grow into a global leader in the pet kennel industry.
